Secondly, Alexis MD skincare is chirally correct. What does this mean? Biochemicals can rotate either left (L) or right (D), but only one direction is the active form. For example, the retinol in Alexis M.D. products is L-retinol. The L form is the active form that will affect your skin. Some ingredients are in the D form if that form is active. A product with just retinol has both L and D forms so not all the retinol is active. The D-retinol just takes up space and does nothing for the skin. Science makes the products WORK!
