Before & After Your Visit
Before your UltraClear treatment, avoid sun exposure, tanning, retinoids, exfoliating products, and other irritating skincare as directed. Arrive with clean skin free of makeup, lotion, sunscreen, perfume, or jewelry, and stay well hydrated prior to your appointment. If you take blood thinners or anticoagulant medications, discuss them with your provider before treatment. Loose, comfortable clothing is recommended.
After treatment, expect redness, warmth, swelling, dryness, peeling, and a sunburn-like sensation during the healing process. Keep the skin clean, moisturized, and protected using only provider-recommended products, including healing creams and SPF. Avoid heat, strenuous exercise, alcohol, spicy foods, sun exposure, exfoliation, active skincare products, and picking at peeling skin while healing. Recovery time varies depending on treatment depth, with most patients resuming makeup within approximately one week.
