Before & After Your Visit
Before your laser hair removal treatment, shave the treatment area closely the night before or morning of your appointment unless otherwise directed. Avoid waxing, tweezing, bleaching, and excessive sun exposure prior to treatment, and arrive with clean skin free of lotion, makeup, or sunscreen. Inform your provider of any medical conditions, medications, recent tanning, tattoos in the treatment area, or history of cold sores before treatment.
After treatment, temporary redness, swelling, irritation, or sensitivity may occur and usually improves within several hours to a few days. Treated hairs will gradually shed over the following weeks as the follicles release dead hair. Avoid heat, harsh skincare products, exfoliation, tanning, and direct sun exposure while healing, and use SPF daily. Do not pick, wax, or tweeze between treatments, and contact your provider if blistering or unusual irritation occurs.
