Before & After Your Visit
Before your neuromodulator treatment, avoid aspirin, NSAIDs, alcohol, fish oil, vitamin E, and other blood-thinning supplements as directed to help minimize bruising. Neuromodulator injections are not recommended during pregnancy or breastfeeding, and patients with certain neuromuscular conditions should discuss treatment eligibility with their provider beforehand.
After treatment, avoid strenuous exercise, excessive heat, alcohol, and lying flat for several hours following injections. Mild redness, swelling, tenderness, or headache may occur temporarily. Avoid rubbing or massaging the treated areas, but gently exercising the injected muscles during the first hour may help optimize results. Effects develop gradually over 4–14 days, with full results continuing to improve during that time.
