Unlike of the laser technologies, Fraxel treatments use pinpoint laser beams to “pixilate” your skin. The concept is similar to a digital camera that uses an array of dots (pixels) to construct a picture. Fraxel pixilation treats thousands of microscopic skin areas to stimulate the body’s natural healing process to replace old and damages skin. Depending upon your skin, your Lasair provider can target between 5 and 50% of your skin surface, leaving 50 to 95% skin untouched to be used in the healing process.

Results can be dramatic. At Lasair, the Fraxel laser is used to treat wrinkles, acne scars, stretch marks, age spots and other skin damage. Results can be immediate. However, because the pixilation process needs to heal, the results are even more dramatic after weeks and months. The treatments can be repeated for additional improvements and are usually used with other Lasair treatments in combination, thus yielding compounded skin enhancements that can be very dramatic.
